Students spend 3 nights at temple stay Koyasan High School, participating in high school classes and cultural activities at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Koyasan. They then stay 1 night in Kyoto, joining an international exchange program at Ritsumeikan Elementary School and meeting with a current member of the Japanese Parliament. The program also includes essay guidance from a College professor.
Meals (19 meals from lunch on June 8), domestic transportation from Kansai Airport to Koyasan and then to Kyoto, and all program fees are included.
A. The Short Program is designed exclusively for high school students who wish to participate in school-based learning experiences in Japan. It is ideal for students who want to focus on high school classes, cultural activities at Koyasan, international exchange in Kyoto, and academic guidance from a College professor—without the extended city exploration included in the Full Program.
The Short Program does include a meeting with a current member of the Japanese Parliament, but it does not include the “Then & Now” historical exploration of Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo. Those activities are available only in the Full Program.
This program is designed for a small number of students.
